What is your industry focus?

Given a track record of investment success and relevant industry experience built over our firm’s history, we place an emphasis on the business services, healthcare, for-profit education and communications sectors. We will opportunistically look at companies outside of these areas if we believe they exhibit attractive growth and investment return potential.

What types of transactions will your firm consider?

We will invest in growth capital financings, recapitalizations and management-led buyouts. We are comfortable with minority and control positions and in leveraged and unleveraged transactions.

What is your typical investment amount?

Though the size of an individual company and the type of transaction desired will dictate capital required, we typically invest up to $25 million in each transaction.

Do you partner with other firms in a syndicate or will you only invest alone?

Although we typically serve in a lead role in our investments, we are willing to participate in financings with other firms.

Do you have a geographic preference?

We are willing to invest anywhere in the United States but have had an emphasis historically on the Midwest, Southeast and East Coast.

What role do you typically serve post-investment?

We play a variety of roles in our portfolio companies post-investment. We are active members of the Board of Directors, provide access to our network of contacts in a variety of industry segments, assist in strategy development and acquisition evaluation, make introductions to potential customers and/or lending sources and help with executive recruitment when necessary.

How long do you typically hold an investment?

Our typical hold period on a new investment is 3-7 years.
